| DIVING ON THE COSTA CALIDA The waters around Los Belones offer some of the best diving in Spain. Divers will surely enjoy the marine reserve of Islas Hormigas and the numerous shipwrecks ranging from cargo ships torpedoed in World War 1 to the Titanic of the Mediterranean, the Sirio, wrecked in 1906. There are numerous dive centres in La Manga and Cabo de Palos just a 5 minute drive from The Village. |

| SAILING AND WATER SPORTS ON THE COSTA CALIDA The Mar Menor is a unique area in Spain and in Europe. Surrounded by mountains, it is the largest lagoon in Europe with a surface area of nearly 170km2. This, along with strong favorable winds, makes it one of the best sites in Europe for Sailing, Windsurfing, Kite surfing and Kayaking. As such, the Mar Menor is peppered with sailing and water sports centres. The Mar Menor also contains wetlands of international importance and of great interest to bird watchers. HIKING AND HORSERIDING ON THE COSTA CALIDA The diverse scenery of beautiful mountains crowning stunning coastline unsoiled by development makes the Mar Menor area a must for both walkers and riders. A network of good footpaths ranging from the easy to the moderately difficult graced by amazing views ensures hours of enjoyment. The Village is close to 2 horse-riding centres and the national park of Calblanque is literally right up the street. |
